Selling your life’s work will be one of the most challenging things you will ever do. The sales process can be overwhelming, demanding and emotionally draining. We pride ourselves on being transparent guiding you through the numerous challenges and decisions you will make. We’ve outlined our fee schedule below as a general guideline based on annual revenues. Many factors can influence and impact fees, such as industry complexity, business type, your businesses profitability, your expectations of the purchase price and the timeline, your preparedness to sell, the universe of buyers for your business type and most importantly how attractive your business is.
We hand-select who we take on as clients. You will be working with Senior Executives and not passed off multiples times providing personalized service dedicated to your business case. While we provide a general outline of our fees below, we personalize your fee structure to your businesses unique characteristics. If we mutually choose to work together, your fees will be finalized during our engagement meeting. Once your business case is closed, the fees you paid during Assessment, Preparation and Marketing are credited towards your success fee.

When you decide to put your business on the market within 30 days of receiving your assessment, we will apply 100% credit of Step 1: Assessment fees towards Step 2: Preparing Your Company. Our assessment timeline takes approximately 10 days and our assessment fee is $1,995.
Preparing your company for sale usually takes less than six weeks depending on how quickly you provide us with necessary information. Our preparation services include:

Preparing Your Company fees are $5,000 to $25,000 scaled to your revenue.
Marketing your life’s work is where JSP gathers momentum for your business ensuring it’s the most attractive opportunity at the dance. Our universe of buyers frequently engages us as to who is ready and who will be ready to market and sell their business. This step will take on average anywhere from 3 to 9 months depending on a number of factors.

Step 3 Fees are scaled relative to your revenue ranging from $5,000 per month for business less than $10MM. At $10MM these fees increase $5,000/month for every $5MM of revenue for the term of your case and have a maximum cap.
JScott Partners leads your closing for a one-time success fee due only upon completion of your sale. The timeframe usually ranges from 2 to 4 months. However, we’ve seen cases that close in less than 60 days and some take over a year. Much of the time escalation hinges on your preparedness, communicating in a clear and concise manner with an attitude of humility. Upon closing your sale, fees you’ve paid in Steps 1, 2 and 3 are credited towards Step 4: Closing the Sale full success fee.
